Thanks to all who helped.....

A big, heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to all that knitted and crochet the snowpeople, snow flakes and garland that went on to our tree. It came out beautiful.
If you have a chance, please go to the Cradle of Aviation sometime this weekend to have a first hand look at our and all the other trees.

Photo Overload

So here are some photos from the Long Island Fair. It's held every year at the Old Bethpage Restoration Village. I highly recommend that everyone enter something next year. It's lots of fun to participate in.
This is my Vernal Equinox Shawl.
This is Gloria's red ribbon winning Swirl Shawl.
Can you believe someone actually crochet this huge octopus?!
I thought this was cool. I think she was knitting socks.
Edited to add: I was just informed this is our own Pat Forte! I had no clue. I just snuck a quick picture!

Here are some photos from this years Rhinebeck trip. The Guild may look into organizing a bus for next year. If you've never gone you really should. There is so much to look at. It's really wonderful.

November 18 Meeting - Charity Auction Night

Hi everyone! Just wanted to remind you all that this week is our Charity Auction night. We have lots of yarn and books that we will be auctioning off. Last year was so much fun and exciting. I am looking forward to doing it again. Due to the amount of yarn we have to auction off, we will begin promptly at 7pm. The business and Show and Tell portion of our meeting will be postponed till next month. If you are participating in the auction, please wear a name tag to make tracking the sales easier. You may make your payments with cash (singles preferred if possible), or check. As we did last year, all monies collected will go to the Newsday Charities.

There will be a sign up sheet for the January Pot Luck dinner. This is a yearly event that everyone looks forward to. I love trying all the different yummy treats that people bring in so please consider signing up for a main dish, dessert or drinks.

I look forward to seeing everyone this week!
